Good for holding things like sunglasses, pens, water bottle, cell phone, MP3 player, lip balm, hand lotion, receipts, Palm, maps, and whatever other odds and ends would normally get lost, crumpled, and scratched in your car. Some of the compartments are adjustable for different-sized items. It is collapsible, not rigid, designed to stay in your car, not be carried around, so if you want something to tote with you, consider Case Logic's Front Seat Mobile Office--the model with handles. I am considering upgrading to that, which is more rigid and will fit a laptop and file folders. But for less than half the price, this item is a perfect general car organizer. It stays put instead of sliding, and the only drawback I notice about it is when I need to transport a passenger it's a very slight pain to move it out of the way because it's a bit flimsy and has no handles. However, "flimsy" doesn't mean poor quality. It has a 25 YEAR warranty. For the money it's a great deal.
