(More customer reviews)I have a 2001 Toyota 4-runner.Because of the age of my vehicle, there weren't many options out there for backseat headrest units.I was recommended the RoadTrip units by the guy who installed my Kenwood DNX-9140.These are universal, so they'll fit almost any car or SUV.
First, the video is good, but a can be a little grainy. Also, if direct sunlight hits it, it sometimes is hard to see.As for the audio, you can pretty much forget about using the built-in speakers. If there is heavy road noise or someone is using the radio, you can't hear it.As for the wireless headphones that come with the units, you pretty much have to be right in front of the unit and not that far back.If you are, then they sound pretty good.If you're not, then you will get a LOUD, high-pitch sound. And about that remote, too confusing.
Am I satisfied with the units, sure!It didn't cost me an arm and a leg and the picture is decent enough. However, my main focus using this unit now is when a movie is being played, I need to use the car speakers to use it.And doing that, makes it a decent movie-watching experience.
