The slide out writing area comes with a clip-on where you can sit your papers and they won't move. The non skid surface is simply awesome! You can put your computer or cell phone on it and they will not slide. It also comes with space to keep your laptop or working papers out of sight and keep hanging file folders, pens, pencils and post-it notes accessible. I have the version that comes with the power inverter and a convenient carrying case, so I am able to take it with me to the office or move it to the trunk. I can also recharge my cell phone or computer when on the go. Buy one you won't be disappointed!
